If you like me, have just started something new and exciting, but at the same time still struggling to be productive and maintain bringing the results to the job that is your main source of income, then you know how unbearable it may be to balance both things out. No wonder why sometimes the stress is overwhelming, and you feel the pressure being impossible to reduce. But don’t you worry I’ve got you.

I don’t feel like going through all the major points that suddenly have become super helpful (read, trendy) to deal with the stress level. For one simple reason, I’ve been there, tried it all …and, well, let’s put it this way: left not convinced in its effectiveness.

But there are 10 certain things that helped me a big deal. And I want you to try them too. These are real methods and things that can bring you back to your best shape. Have a look, try them out, doubt them, just don’t ignore, because unless you gave it a shot, you have no idea what may give you best results.

Alright, let’s start already.

  1. I’ll go easy on you and say, first: deep breath. Inhale- exhale. Stupid, you think? Possible… But only if you haven’t done it. So, go on and do that. I promise, after three repetitions you’ll see the result.
     
  2. Next, grab a phone or better yet, put the shoes on and go to the nearest florist shop and get a flower bouquet. Just for you, because that’s what can make you smile. You know it can. Unbeatable method.
     
  3. Next one is such a weird one, you may say, I’m dragging more troubles than joy, but wait, listen: change the sheets. The wave of a new energy you’ll feel is beyond anything you may imagine. There’s something about renewal and change that make us feel like you want to try again.
     
  4. Once this is done, the only natural thing to do is to sleep. Nothing that 8 hours of good deep sleep couldn’t fix. Depriving yourself of it, makes you miserable, no matter what the motivation behind. None of these things you care deeply about or work on worth anything if you eventually lose your sleep over. Just trust me on that one.
     
  5. The other two methods are easily the most favorite of all because there’s no justification needed. You love it, I love it, so we do it. Have a detox bath, try a new face mask. Wait, have a better idea: organize a spa day. Ladies normally don’t need a special occasion for it. You, pals, simply must except that fact where it’s no longer a women’s privilege only, so I encourage you to book a pampering day and see the effect for yourself.
     
  6. Have you ever noticed how amazing the power of food can be? I found it that making a new recipe can be very therapeutic, not to forget the delight of tasting. Do not ever underestimate the importance and influence of gastronomic indulgence. These E-books helped me discover all the most wonderful recipes there are.
     
  7. Remember what I said about the sheets? Well, the next tip will go to decluttering the space. I bet you have 10-15 pieces of clothes in your wardrobe you forgot you wore the last time, or things in your drawers you can’t recollect the usage. I think you understand where I am going to with all of it, right? Clear the space, get rid of something you don’t have a need in, let the new come in.
     
  8. Do something new. Have a hobby, you always felt like starting? An activity you dreamt of doing but had no company to do it with? Maybe a place worth visiting or a dress worth trying on? How about surprising yourself and letting things happen? Believe me, there’s no better time for it than today, now, this very moment.
     
  9. One more simple, however highly effective method. Watch an inspirational TED talk. It’s like you’re having a private consultation with an expert. All you’ve got to do is listen and absorb. And let me just say, these people know exactly what they are talking about. So, you are in good hands.
     
  10. Hug someone you love. No better way to unwind and reduce the stress level. Ask anyone because it works like magic. Every. Single. Time.
     

 

Here are only the most basic tips and tricks that hundred percent were working on me, but don’t hesitate to put some efforts into discovering something new. You will be surprised what the reality can offer you. The world is your oyster.
